This comprises a theory test and a hazard perception test. It can be taken
at any Driving Standards Agency theory test centre.
I can offer assistance for your preparation for this part of the Approved
Driving Instructor examination, but success will depend upon how much
personal effort you are willing to apply to your studies. There is no real
substitute for systematic preparation at a pace that suits you.
It is conventional to obtain the list of questions and answers, and learn them
by rote, but this is unlikely to give you the thorough understanding that you
will need later in your studies. A detailed knowledge of driving will be a
prize asset when you arrive at the next stage of the qualification process.
There is no limit to the number of attempts you may take the Part 1, but you
will have to pay the fee each time.
