    Driving Instructor Training


    Qualifying

    Now that you have decided to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI),
    here is the procedure that you will have to follow.

    • Contact DSA and obtain the information pack.
    • Submit yourself to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
    • Apply to DSA to be given a number as a Potential Driving Instructor.
    • Part 1 examination. This tests theory and hazard perception.
    • Part 2 examination. This is a driving test.
    • Part 3 examination. A role-play test of instructional ability.
    • Apply for registration as an ADI.

    There are fees for all of the examinations, and for registration.
