Driving Instructor Training
Qualifying
Now that you have decided to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI),
here is the procedure that you will have to follow.
- Contact DSA and obtain the information pack.
- Submit yourself to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
- Apply to DSA to be given a number as a Potential Driving Instructor.
- Part 1 examination. This tests theory and hazard perception.
- Part 2 examination. This is a driving test.
- Part 3 examination. A role-play test of instructional ability.
- Apply for registration as an ADI.
There are fees for all of the examinations, and for registration.
